Mastering Warmth & Comfort

“Recovery isn’t retreat—it’s regroup.

Our jackets are for the in-between — in the team room, the hospital bed, the fire-pit where stories get told, and that first breath of cold morning air when you square up to the day, and dare it to hit harder than yesterday.”

RYAN (USA Ret.) From Raids to Warrants: One Jacket Does It All
When I first saw the PBLJ, I thought of a night raid my ODA did in Afghanistan on a freezing winter night. For infil, I was in the turret of a side-by-side. I wore a thick jacket over my kit in the turret and all my teammates laughed at me and called me soft. I of course ditched the jacket when we reached the objective, but it kept me warm in the cold air until we got there. And the next night op we did, those same teammates that were making fun of me before were all wearing jackets! Thinking back on those nights, I thought of how great a PBLJ would have been.
I'm currently in law enforcement. We often prep for high-risk warrants in the early morning hours when the New England winter temperatures are at their coldest. I can wear the PBLJ over my kit and stay warm up until execution. I couldn't be happier with it. The first time I wore it, my team leader said that I looked like a tactical Hugh Hefner! My teammates loved it, and I think you'll be getting some orders from them this winter.

Besides that, I wear the PBLJ outside my house all the time in the winter. I love sitting outside with some music and a drink. The PBLJ allows me to enjoy relaxing outdoors even in cold winter temperatures. It's extremely comfortable. And it brings me back to a time when my teammates and I would decompress after a mission outside the team house.

I can't say enough good things about the PBLJ. I'm extremely happy with it. It's very lightweight, warm, and high quality. And it packs up small enough that it's easy to pack when I travel.  Thanks for the awesome jacket

CRAIG S. (USA) From Q Course to Chemo—This Jacket Had My Back
I purchased the PBLJ through the recommendation of another Special Forces soldier who I work with in New England - and it's been a great product so far. Oddly enough, I can empathize with exactly how Patrick felt in the chemo outpatient clinic. About 6 months after I got out of the Q course I was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma - and spent 10 hours every 2 weeks freezing my balls off in an infusion chair at Dana Farber in Boston. As a result of it I just don't love being (voluntarily) freezing anymore , and winters in Boston get pretty damn cold. The PBlJ is a great way to stay warm around the house without having to throw a jacket on- and in a weird way it reminds me that my first "trip" after the q course was to the chemo treatment room - which I got through in the end.

NEAL C. (USA) Luxury Is Relaxing Outdoors in -20°—Wrapped in the PBLJ
Having spent a fair amount of my time in the field, woods, meetings, and briefings. I invest in gear that supports my lifestyle and is practical, applicable, and multi-functional. A piece of gear that I can use on and off duty to enjoy myself is a treasure and the pinnacle of any toolkit (or arsenal). That is why I invested in a PBLJ. I am able to comfortably relax and unwind in my PBLJ after a long day of meetings or stomping through the woods. The PBLJ came in handy in 2020 during the Texas freeze, keeping me warm and toasty in the freezing -20° degree weather. With the PBLJ shielding me from the elements, I took my leisurely time and enjoyed a cigar outside in peace and quiet without a care in the world. The PBLJ is the most versatile piece of equipment I own, and without a doubt the best investment I've ever made. I love it so much, I bought a matching one for my brother. If you're interested in a PBLJ, ask yourself how much are you willing to invest in yourself and your comfort? It's worth it to me to invest in myself to ensure I enjoy life.

PAT K. (USA) Warmth, Comfort, and Confidence—All in One Jacket
I love, love, love my patrol base lounge jacket. As a veteran that lives in a area with extremely cold winters, the PBLJ is perfect for those cold mornings. My girlfriend even tells me I project a Hugh Hefner type confidence when she sees me wearing it. It's comfortable, warm and wears well.

Engineered for the fight that follows

Every seam on the PBLJ is built using double-needle lockstitching, the same approach used in standard-issue military liners to prevent seam failure and fabric distortion under stress. High-wear points—like pocket corners, sleeve cuffs, and belt loops—are bar-tack reinforced for extra hold without added bulk. The outer shell uses a lightweight, abrasion-resistant nylon similar to the classic poncho liner, balancing durability and flexibility. Inside, the quilted polyester insulation is stitched in a continuous wave pattern to prevent shifting or clumping over time. All raw edges are bias-bound to reduce fray and protect the interior face from wear. Even the thread is heat-resistant bonded nylon—selected to last longer than the fabric itself. It’s built with the same logic as issued gear: no-frills, no shortcuts, just function that holds up when comfort isn’t optional.

Enhanced Insulation Technology

Utilizes cutting-edge synthetic layers to trap heat efficiently, ensuring superior thermal protection without losing the premium “woobie” breathability we all enjoy.

Next-Level ‘Woobie’ Design

Improves on classic comfort with innovative materials for versatile outdoor use, medical convalescence, and simply taking pleasure in the little things.

Lightweight Durability

Combines robust fabrics with a sleek profile for easy packing and long-lasting wear.
